WALL EXCAVATION

ARCHITECTURAL CUT & PAINT

GERTRUDE CONTEMPORARY ART SPACES
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

In this work a rectangle was cut between two adjoining gallery spaces. The cut-out piece created a shelf on one side and on the other side, layers of paint in the gallery wall prompted a site determined painting which was placed just below the cut-out.
