YELLOW - PROJECTS ONE

SPATIAL INSTALLATION WITH GLASS, MIRROR, FABRICATED WALLS, PAINT,
LENS, PEEPHOLE & THEATRE LIGHTS

CURATED BY DR JOHN R NEESON

VCA GALLERY,
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

In ‘YELLOW’ I built an elaborate labyrinth then added 4 large mirrors placed for optical effect to create a single corridor view towards a tiny peephole. Participant viewers meandered their way towards the peephole, which revealed a view of a sculpture on the other side of the gallery wall.

SMALL ARCHITECTURE - HOMELOAN

PHOTOGRAPHIC INSTALLATION

CURATED BY KATE SHAW AND LARISSA HJORTH

CAROLINE SPRINGS DISPLAY WAREHOUSES,
MELBOURNE

As a part of HOMELOAN (an exhibition that took place in a suburban housing development) I was given a domestic display room with a kitchen and living area to exhibit in. The work I created for the space, titled ‘SMALL ARCHITECTURE’ involved placing six tiny architectural figurines in different locations in the space, photographing them with a macro lens and hanging these ‘portraits’ back in the space.
